The defeat of the Universal Church of Truth and the relationships between the existing Guardians opens the opportunity for membership growth. Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy's ending provides the opportunity for another adventure, expanding on new members such as Adam Warlock and Nikki. Though Eidos-Montreal insists Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy will have no DLC, a sequel is not out of the question. However, Adam Warlock and Nikki aren't the only characters that could join the squad. Two characters pledge their allegiance and apparently join the team as new galactic heroes-for-hire: Adam Warlock and Nikki. Following the defeat of GOTG's Universal Church of Truth and Grand Unifier Raker, the Guardians presumably enjoy a spike in popularity, as shown by their immediate trip to obtain more business cards. Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy features Rocket Raccoon, Gamorra, Drax the Destroyer, Groot, and Star-Lord as a core cast, but other characters could join the Guardians in a sequel.
